Sofitel Mumbai known for its extravagant buffets in Pondicherry café has recently started the thai food festival. In association with SO Sofitel Bangkok it brings back the best of the exotic flavours from the streets of Thailand on popular demand! After the successful two years of the festival, the luxury hotel will once again showcase their culinary expertise through the 10-day food festival – ‘Tastes of Thailand’, at their all day-dining, Pondichéry Café
Known as a wondrous kingdom, featuring Buddhist temples, exotic wildlife and spectacular islands, Thailand has a fascinating history and culture. The country offers delectable Thai food and natives who epitomize Thailand’s “Land of Smiles” reputation. Displaying their exquisite culinary skills and gastronomic creations, Sofitel Mumbai BKC has specially flown in Thai Chefs Sorataj Thesaphu and Teepanon Pongthong from SO Sofitel Bangkok to give guests an authentic flavour of this vibrant land.
The talented Thai chefs have curated an innovative menu with an eclectic mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from across the country.
Complemented by a range of exotic spices, fresh herbs and ingredients sourced from Thailand, the buffet and live counters will feature dishes like Larb Chicken, Lamb Shank Massamun, Panang Salmon with red Curry, Vegetarian Pad Thai, Chicken Khaosuey & many more.
We absolutely loved the Chicken Khaosuey made by Chef Sorataj Thesaphu due to the balance of flavours brought in the dish with the use of condiments, fish sauce and a perfectly done broth. One of the must have from the live counters here.
Another one of our favourites here was The Roasted Chicken done Thai style which was served with chefs house special sweet chilli sauce. it was meaty, smoky & did a happy dance of sweet and spicy flavours on our palette. Best to have them fresh
The festival goes on from 21st to 30th July at Pondicherry café. What’s more…guests dining at Pondichéry Café during the 10-day food promotion could get a chance to win a two-night stay through a lucky draw, at their luxurious sister property, SO Sofitel Bangkok. We loved our meal here and recommend you to pay them a visit too.
